Biographie
Make the Girl Dance make up some of the lucky few to have been swept away in the whirlwind that is becoming an internet phenomenon. This is thanks to the now infamous video for their track ‘Baby Baby Baby’, which comprises of young, attractive, and naked women striding through the streets of Paris, mouthing the suggestive lyrics to the track. The video enjoyed a cool 8 millions views across the world within its first month of going online.
The French duet, unsatisfied with stopping there, has found the time to work through an ever-growing list of remix requests. The lucky bands granted a remix so far include French-four-piece Mademoiselle K, electro-string duo Something à la Mode, and British rockers Franz Ferdinand.
In the process of storming their way through a European tour, Make the Girl Dance are currently lacing France with a trail of tour dates whilst throwing in a few cheeky dates across the borders in countries including UK, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland... With live shows that have been compared to greats such as Daft Punk, it is no surprise to see Make the Girl Dance also hitting the line-up for this year’s Francophonic Festival in Berlin in october or on the stage of the famous Social Club in Paris.
